2024-25 Salary: $55,459 - $102,527 DOE
2025-2026 Salary Schedule will use schedule above + State IPD (TBD) + 2%

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Washington State teaching certificate with a music endorsement or ability to obtain one

  • Knowledge of both instrumental (Concert Band and Jazz Band) and choral music preferred

  • Ability to highlight student musicians in a variety of venues

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement a program of study following state standards that meet the

    individual needs and abilities of the students by providing effective, differentiated instruction using

    research-based practices

  • Demonstrate ability to establish and implement, in a positive and supportive manner, classroom policies

    and procedures governing student behavior and conduct; provides guidance, counseling, and discipline to

    encourage students to meet standards of achievement and conduct; makes referrals for assistance where

    appropriate.

  • Demonstrate the ability to integrate technology into the classroom

  • Demonstrate ability to implement effective formative and summative assessment practices that promote

    student engagement and learning growth

  • Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and productively with a variety of students, staff, and parents

  • Demonstrate ability to articulate and implement teaching practices that develop the social and emotional

    intelligence of upper elementary and middle school students

  • Demonstrate ability to productively collaborate with colleagues in a Professional Learning Community

    environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

  • Commitment to participate in extracurricular activities

  • Ability to teach Guitar, Choir, Mariachi band, History of Modern Music, and other courses as qualified for and

    needed
