Reopening Schools: Indoor Lunch Program

Starting January 3, 2022 the outdoor lunch program will move indoors. The safety and health of our staff and students remains priority number one and we will continue to follow current DOH K-12 COVID 19 Requirements for the 2021-22 school year.

WPSIS & Henkle

  • 2 gyms

  • PE classes will relocate

  • Rewrite the master schedules

Whitson

  • PE outside or in classrooms

  • 44 kids in cafeteria

Whitson Gym

WPSIS Small Gym

At Whitson, 44 students will be seated two students per table, 4 ft. apart. Students will sit facing each other, sitting North/South at one table and East/West at a neighboring table. This seating arrangement creates six or more feet between students seated at separate tables. If quarantine was necessary this would limit the number of students to quarantine to two. The additional students not seated in the cafeteria will eat in their classrooms sitting 6 ft. apart. Students will have an assigned seat for contact tracing.

At WPSIS and Henkle, 96 students will be seated two students per table, 4 ft. apart. Students will sit facing each other, sitting North/South at one table and East/West at a neighboring table. This seating arrangement creates six or more feet between students seated at separate tables. If quarantine was necessary this would limit the number of students to quarantine to two. Students will have an assigned seat for contact tracing.
