8:00am TO 1:30 pm or 5:30 pm depending on summer schedule

$32.50 per hour

General Position Summary:
The Direct Service Staff will report to and communicate with the 21st CCLC Site Coordinator to execute and supervise summer school time activities with students. Our goal is to support literacy and math in grades 1st through 8th, while providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment and to build and strengthen relationships with students. Ability to deliver engaging, fun enrichment activities related to STEM and/or Project Based Learning
Ability to know how to make a child feel important
Ability to provide a safe, welcoming, supportive, respectful and fun environment for students
Promoting the success and achievement of low-income students from culturally diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to successfully employ effective teaching methods
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with students, parents and staff
Ability to work successfully with students of differing physical, cognitive and language abilities
Ability to provide clear directions in a supportive manner to staff
Ability to work as a team to implement designed curriculum and enrichment opportunities for students
Attend staff meetings and prepare for summer school June 24-28 (10 hours).
Required to have working knowledge of computer technology and equipment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Ability to obtain Emergency Substitute Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Program Based Learning.
Doesn’t mind getting messy or cleaning up messes.
Ability to speak Spanish.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Washington State Teaching Certificate
