2024-25 Salary: $55,459 - $102,527 DOE
2025-2026 Salary Schedule will use schedule above + State IPD (TBD) + 2%

Medical, Dental, Vision, WA State Retirement, 403(b), Sick Leave, Personal Days, WA State Family Leave

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field

  • Valid Washington State teaching certification/license with science endorsement

  • Proficient knowledge of high school contact and NGSS standards

General Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in alignment with Washington State standards and curriculum

    guidelines

  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student participation and collaboration

  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs and styles of students

  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to enhance student understanding and engagement

  • Assess student learning through a range of formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to

    students and parents

  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary projects and foster cross-curricular connections

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support student

    success

  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of current

    educational trends

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students

  • High moral and ethical standards

  • High expectations for self and others

  • Team player and highly collaborative

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual ability (Spanish)

  • Master’s Degree

  • Previous teaching experience at the high school level is desirable

  • Ability to differentiate instruction and support the diverse learning needs of students effectively

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills

  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development

  • Ability to be involved in extra-curricular activities

  • AVID, GLAD, and/or SIOP trained
