2024-25 Salary: $55,459 - $102,527 DOE
2025-2026 Salary Schedule will use schedule above + State IPD (TBD) + 2%
Medical, Dental, Vision, WA State Retirement, 403(b), Sick Leave, Personal Days, WA State Family Leave
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field
Valid Washington State teaching certification/license with science endorsement
Proficient knowledge of high school contact and NGSS standards
General Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in alignment with Washington State standards and curriculum
guidelines
Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student participation and collaboration
Differentiate instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs and styles of students
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to enhance student understanding and engagement
Assess student learning through a range of formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to
students and parents
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary projects and foster cross-curricular connections
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support student
success
Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of current
educational trends
Ability to inspire and motivate students
High moral and ethical standards
High expectations for self and others
Team player and highly collaborative
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual ability (Spanish)
Master’s Degree
Previous teaching experience at the high school level is desirable
Ability to differentiate instruction and support the diverse learning needs of students effectively
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
Ability to be involved in extra-curricular activities
AVID, GLAD, and/or SIOP trained
