5th and 6th grade went to Mount Hood Meadows Ski Resort for a day of skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing!
A long, sunny walk on the beach, fun around the campfire, and lots of excellent food packed day 4 full of outdoor school memories. Kid quotes of the day: *holding up a rock* "It's abiotic!", "I'm a tree!" and "yeah....I need to go clean something." Group two heads home Friday!
Outdoor School Update! Today's 3 words are sea lions, night vision, and switcheroo. Group 1 is safely home and Group 2 had a beautiful night to hear sea lions and test our senses on a night hike. Some student quotes from the day include "this food is so good I'm tearing up," "I didn't know mints can spark!" and "eughhh!!!" It was another excellent day at Camp Grey!
6th Grade Outdoor School! Group 2 is on their way!
What do sunshine, sausage, and squid have in common? They were all part of day 2 of outdoor school! A few brief sprinkles did nothing to lessen the fun of hiking, dissecting, and enjoying great food at camp. Group 1 heads home Wednesday and Group 2 journeys to the coast to begin their adventure.
Day 1 of outdoor school was an adventure! We started in luxury bus accommodations, arrived to diagonal rain, and ended with a cozy (indoor) campfire program. It was a memorable kick-off!
6th Grade Outdoor School! Group 1 is on their way!

FINALE UPDATE:
Staff and Families
I am writing to provide an update on the report of a threat of harm directed toward a student at Henkle Middle School.
At 11:00am today we lifted the soft lock-down at WPSIS, HMS and CHS. Law enforcement has made contact with the student and their family and determined that it is safe to resume normal school operations and activities.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we prioritize student and staff safety.
