Dear Incoming Ninth-Grade Families,
As your student is a little more than halfway through their 8th-grade year at Henkle Middle School, it is time to start thinking about their transition to Columbia High School. To help with their transition, we will be hosting our annual Incoming Ninth-Grade Information Night via Zoom on Tuesday, February 15 at 6:30 p.m. You can find the link for the Zoom meeting on the bottom of the Columbia High School web page under EVENTS for February 16. You can also find the link at the bottom of this letter.
During the Incoming Ninth-Grade Information Night, we will introduce some of the CHS staff, talk about graduation requirements, go over the CHS trimester schedule, cover forecasting, and have time for a question-and-answer session. One of the most important transitions we will cover is scheduling ninth-grade classes. We want to make sure that you are part of the scheduling process. Your student will receive a pink forecasting sheet along with access to a digital copy of the CHS Academic Planning Guide and course offering descriptions in the next week. This information will also be available on the CHS website. Please review the CHS Academic Planning Guide and course offerings before the information night.
