Dear CHS Families,

I hope this letter finds you safe, healthy and enjoying the time you are spending as a family. I want to thank you for all your help in educating our students. Distance learning has been a difficult situation for everyone involved, but working together, we can help our students get the education they need to be successful.

As we near the end of our six-week courses, make sure you check your student’s grades on SKYWARD. The last day of your student’s first and second period courses will be on Friday, October 9. The start of their third and fourth period, six-week courses, will be on Monday, October 12. Your student’s fifth period class will not change because it is a 12-week course. This means starting October 12, your student/s will attend periods 3, 4, and 5. They will also still attend advisory every Wednesday in place of fifth period.

The CHS office will be open on Thursday, October 8, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, October 9, from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for students needing to pick up books and materials for their new six week courses. You will receive an email from the high school if you need to stop by the office to pick up books or materials.

I would like to thank all of our families for the input that we have received last school year, over the summer, and during the beginning of this school year. It continues to help us to do a better job of educating our students. We just sent out a survey to our students to better understand how they are coping with the distance learning model. As part of our reopening plan, CHS families will also be receiving a survey to gauge your interest in attending in-person school. Please be sure to fill it out to help us create a smooth transition for all of our students.

I hope to see our students back in school soon. Until then, thanks for your help, and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need anything.

Sincerely,

Craig E. McKee
