Student & Family Bulletin

Week of December 5

  1. NOVVA Tech College & Technical School Fair: CHS will be participating in an online college and technical school fair hosted by NOVVA Tech on Monday, December 5th during advisory.  There will be 20 colleges and technical schools. Parents, you are also welcome to attend online between 10-11:30.  You can register for the event HERE. We will be on a special advisory bell schedule. HERE is a copy. Students, you should report directly to advisory at 10:15 (due to the late start). If school is cancelled due to the snow, you may still log on and participate from home if you would like.

  2. Community Service Opportunity: If you are looking for a fun community service activity for your college applications/resumes/satisfaction of giving back to the community, please stop by and visit Mrs. Gehrig in the AG Room to sign up! The Lions Club is looking for assistance with their tree sale for the next 3 weekends!

  3. Athletic Attendance Reminder:  In order for athletes to attend practice/games, they must be in attendance to all classes that day unless they have a medical appointment, in which case, they must bring a doctor's note back to the office.  The office does not need ANY medical information as to the visit or purpose of visit.  Most doctors, dentists, and medical clinics have a form letter that simply states the student was seen with the date.  That is sufficient information to allow the student to participate in extracurricular activities for the day.  Please note that this does not apply to non-athletes and only applies on the day of the absence.

  4. Seniors: If you missed ordering from Jostens when they were on campus, you can still order online by clicking HERE. The only required items for graduation are cap and gowns, but you can also order senior packages, class rings, etc.

  5. Coats for Kids: If you have a new or gently used coat that you would like to donate to our coat drive, there is a box near the front entrance of the school.

  6. Culture Seed Fundraiser: On Thursday, December 8th, from 6-9pm, Culture Seed will be hosting a fundraiser to buy a gently used van in order to reduce transportation barriers for youths in the White Salmon area.  There will be a raffle and door prizes as well.
