Week of May 29
EARLY RELEASE: There will be NO early release on Wednesday of this week. We will be on a normal bell schedule. Friday WILL be an early release to accommodate Spring Fest. We will be on a 1:40 release and bell schedule.
YEARBOOKS: The deadline to pre-order your 2022-23 CHS yearbook is June 1st (that is this Thursday!). Yearbooks are sold in the CHS office for $55 and will be delivered at the beginning of next school year. Please contact Ms. Lemon with any questions.
SENIOR TRIP: Graduating seniors who are interested in attending the Senior trip to Seaside on June 8th will need to complete the permission slip and return it to Mr. Larsen no later than Wednesday, May 31st. . HERE is a copy of the permission slip in both English and Spanish. The cost of the trip is $10 and tickets can be purchased in A Court during lunch between Tuesday, May 30th and Friday, June 2nd. Seniors attending the trip should be in A Court no later than 7:15am on Thursday, June 8th. Busses will depart at 7:30 and return at approximately 9:00pm. Students may NOT drive themselves.
END OF YEAR MUSIC CONCERT: There will be a free end of the year music concert this Wednesday at 7pm in the gym. Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Mariachi will all be performing.
STATE TRACK RESULTS: Congratulations to the track team who competed this past weekend in Richland, Washington. Here are the individual results:
Girls 4 x 100 relay (Bella Hamilton, Saylor Hauge, Sara Miller, Piper Hicks) placed 4th
Jessie Polkinghorn - 5th place shot put & 11th place discus
Ella Zimmerman - 8th place 300 M Hurdles & 9th place 100 M Hurdles
Sara Miller - 10th in long jump
Cam Uffelman placed 10th in the 300 M Hurdles.
Hailey Tolbert - 11th place 100 M Hurdles
Girls 4 x 200 relay (Bellat Hamilton, Saylor Hauge, Sequoia Cohen, and Sara Miller) placed 11th
Calvin Andrews place 13th in the 300 M Hurdles
STATE SOCCER & SOFTBALL: The boys soccer team ended their season finishing 11th in the state and girls softball finished 10th. Way to go athletes!
GRADUATION ROAD CONSTRUCTION: WSDOT will be doing a paving project during graduation weekend on Bingen Hill. Be sure to check their website for updates and plan on an alternate route to get to school for graduation.
A COURT PARKING LOT: The A Court parking lot is being repaved this summer beginning Monday, June 19th. If you need to come to school for any reason, you will need to park in the C- Court parking lot.
