CLC After School Program

The CLC After School Program at Columbia High School provides a safe place for students to be after school where they can get help with academics, practice critical thinking skills, social emotional learning, and practical life skills like cooking, sewing and gardening. Students participate in psychology, math, literacy and STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities, plus explore post-secondary school options like career and college options.

We also support summer school programming during the month of July for students. Information about summer programming and student enrollment comes out in May each year. During summer, students have the opportunity for academic and social-emotional exploration through local themes like agriculture, nature, and STEM. Students can also participate in credit recovery opportunities during the summer program.

Mission Statement

CLC will provide students with an enriching environment. We will provide the experience of safety, a sense of belonging, and the freedom to discover and connect with others. Learning will be done with a blend of compassion and humon

Vision Statement

The vision of CLC is to provide an accessible program which appreciates and foster the value of students as members of their community, stimulates their social, physical, and intellectual growth, and achieves these experiences through the exploration and discovery of their own interests.
