Dear Parent/Guardian,
The staff at WPSIS would like to share some free resources and a summer reading opportunity with our students. By reading during the summer months, not only will your child discover the joy of being lost in a book, they will also practice the many skills and strategies they have learned all year.
There will be K-cash awarded to all students who bring a summer reading log back to school in the fall. You can help your child remember to write their summer reading minutes on the attached log. Please keep it in a safe place where it is easily accessible and won’t get lost.
Our public library is an excellent resource for additional summer reading materials and activities. You can download the Libby app on any mobile device to check out digital and audio books from the convenience of your home. Being able to access books electronically makes reading more fun for many young readers! The White Salmon Community Library also has a summer reading activity every year from June 15-August 15. Al personal de WPSIS le gustaría compartir algunos recursos gratuitos y una oportunidad de lectura de verano con nuestros estudiantes. Al leer durante los meses de verano, su hijo/a no solo descubrirá la alegría de perderse en un libro, sino que también practicará las muchas habilidades y estrategias que aprendió durante todo el año.

Nuestra biblioteca pública es un excelente recurso para materiales y actividades adicionales de lectura de verano.
